Waterworks Apartments is a historic building on the beautiful Penobscot River. Built in 1875, the building originally provided Bangor with filtered water. The complex is made up of 35 studio apartments. Each unit includes an open living/sleep space, bathroom, and kitchen. The property has a large grassy area with seating for relaxing, socializing, and enjoying the views during nice weather. The river can be seen and heard through out the property. There is a communal lounge area for residents. Waterworks is a low-income housing tax credit property. Residents must income qualify.
